Stars: ⭐️⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️ Book 10 of the Kate Burkholder Series Anytime I read a book in this series I’m never disappointed. Linda Castillo is always pushing the edge, making you wonder if this time Chief Kate Burkholder will be outsmarted. Thankfully she has the unyielding support of her officers and secret boyfriend who works for the BSU. The only slightly annoying part of the books is the fact that Castillo has to slip in how Kate used to be Amish. After a horrifying attack when she was in her teens and her retaliation she could not accept the Amish life and the Amish couldn’t accept her as one of their own.
